Privacy Policy - Colorbook

Last updated: April 14, 2026

Colorbook is a coloring app for children. This policy describes what information the Colorbook app processes and why.

Information we collect

We collect as little data as possible.

  • Device / support identifier: A device-specific identifier for purchase restoration and support. It is not combined with a name, email, or other direct identity you provide in the app (the app does not require an account).
  • Purchase verification: When you buy or restore content, transaction-related data is sent to our servers so we can verify the purchase with Apple (on iOS) or Google (on Android) and unlock content on your device. We do not receive your full payment card details.
  • Photo library: Used only if you choose to save a picture to your gallery, and only for that action, with your permission.
  • Push notifications (optional): If you turn on notifications, the app may register a push token with our servers. We use it only to send notifications you have opted into (for example, product updates). Delivery may use Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging and Expo push delivery infrastructure as technically required.

Collaborative coloring (real-time session)

If two users choose to color the same page together, the app sends data to our servers over encrypted web traffic (HTTPS) and real-time sync (WebSocket). This is not a public social network or open messaging service; it is only used to keep the canvas in sync between the devices that join the same session via invite or code.

  • Data processed may include: session / room identifiers, join or short codes to verify participation, the selected character (page), technical identifiers to pair devices in the session, and the current state of the drawing (canvas snapshot).
  • We use this information only to run the session, keep both participants in sync, and optionally restore progress shortly after the session ends if you re-enter; we do not use it for marketing or profiling.
  • Session records are automatically deleted from our servers after a limited time; we do not create a permanent public profile or feed.

Third-party analytics

No. Colorbook does not integrate third-party analytics SDKs, and we do not collect data for advertising or behavioral analytics through analytics providers.

Third-party advertising

No. The app does not show third-party ads and does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs.

Children's privacy

Colorbook is designed with families in mind. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for marketing or profiling. In-app purchases require a parent or guardian’s approval through the Apple or Google account on the device. Collaborative coloring is limited to joining the same session via invite or code; we do not provide open chat, public profiles, or a public feed.

How we use information

We use the information above only to:

  • verify and restore purchases
  • respond to support requests you initiate
  • deliver optional notifications you have enabled
  • start optional collaborative coloring sessions, verify participation, and sync drawing actions between the two devices in real time

Cross-app or cross-site tracking

We do not use it to sell data, run ads, or build behavioral profiles across other companies’ apps or sites.

Third-party services (infrastructure)

Services needed to operate the app:

  • Apple App Store / Google Play: distribution and payment processing.
  • Expo: the app is built with the Expo framework. Production builds run on your device like other native apps; we do not use Expo to “track” children for ads. For optional push notifications, push tokens may be processed by Expo’s systems as needed for delivery. See https://expo.dev/privacy

Data storage and sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. We only share data with service providers when needed to operate the app (for example, Apple/Google for payments, and infrastructure used for push delivery as described above), not for third-party advertising.

Contact and your rights

For questions or requests regarding your data:

  • Email: dorukaksoyek@gmail.com
  • You may request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.
  • You may exercise your rights under GDPR and applicable privacy laws.

Changes

We may update this policy when our practices change. The “Last updated” date will change accordingly.
